SUNDAY SCHOOL
St.Peter's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Sunday school is the only Sunday school in Trivandrum district under Kollam diocese affiliated to Malankara Jacobite Syrian Sunday school association.(affiliaton no:353). Working of the Sunday school is from 9:45 to 11:15 on every Sundays. There are 21 teachers and 98 students upto Xth standard. Recently XI and XII standards are also introduced. Balasamajam is conducted once in every month. In addition to the biblical, church related topics, students are equipped to lead a real spiritual life.
During summer vacations vacation Bible school is also conducted for 10 days. JSVBS syllabus of MJSSA is followed for this. Students who are not attending the regular Sunday school classes are also making use of this. Students from other communities are also welcome to this short vacation programme. Our students participate and bring laurels to the Sunday school in the balakalolsavam at district,diocese and Akhilamalankara levels.

St Peters Charitable Society
It is a charitable organization under the parish and now it runs the school for Mentally Retarded Children. It has plan to build a Hospital Guidance Center at Pongumood. The school is currently working in the parish hall and caters to 54 children. The School will be shifted to Pongumood after completion of the building over there.The first President for the Charitable Society was Mr.P.A. Paul
 
School for Mentally Retarded Children.
            It is working under the St Peters charitable society and was started based on the idea put forward by ex-vicar Rev. Fr. A.P.George.Children of parents who are not financially well off are exempted from paying fees, thereby making it affordable to common public in TVPM.Also children are gathered from and returned to their homes everyday by van,, the transportation being absolutely free. The school has currently 5 teachers and one helper. The expenses are met by profit from an STD Booth run by society and donations from well wishers.
